Soul Mate

A long time ago
I spoke you into my existence
The scars from the past
Convinced me to be patient
Until I could truly open my heart
When I finally realized I had met you
I cried tears of joy
Every time I looked upon your face
I thanked God for blessing me with you
'Cause I thought I'd never meet you
And that I was doomed to be alone for
The rest of my life
I'm grateful that you accepted and loved me
For exactly who I am
There's nothing more for me to say but
I love you, eternally

Priceless

The beauty of every season
The snow on trees,
Spring blossoms,
The color the leaves change
Before they fall,
The way the sun looks when it
Rises and sets.
First time meeting someone
In hopes to court them,
The look on their face
When you've expressed what's
Genuinely in your heart,
The emotion felt when you two
Become one after saying those
Sacred vows.
Reaction when you've learned
God's blessed you with something
Soon to come in nine months,
The first time looking into
Your child's eyes after their born.
When they have spoken their first
Word and taken their first step.

Love

Love is long suffering,
And is kind,
It doesn't envy,
Thinks no evil,
Not easily provoked,
Bears all things,
Believes all things,
Hopes all things,
Endures all things,
It never fails.

I believe in love,
Real love,
The true power of love.
Genuine love between two people.
Yes, I believe in it.
Love is that heavenly emotion for
Another that can't be denied,
It is not perfect
For love is no Disney fairy tale.
It's sacred and beautiful
Like the first rose given as a gift,
First kiss,
The very first time when "I love you"
Is spoken
Yes I believe in love.
Like the romantic walks in the park
Or a quiet moment alone
With no verbal communication.
Love takes care of you when you're
Sick and weak.
it respects you and is loyal
To you.

Virtuous Woman

She speaks wisdom
No profane words are in
Her language, for she speaks
Kindness
Strength and honor are a
Permanent part of her presence
Walks like a queen,
She is the gatherer for her household,
Her husband and children are
Fed and clothed well
The heart of her husband is safely
Trusted with her
For she will do good and no evil
Unto him all the days of her life
She makes sure to  fulfill her duties
On a daily basis,
Especially giving to the poor and
Unfortunate
And most of all she fears God

Assurance Of Love

Love
Amazing it is
Genuine
Unconditional
A necessity for life
At the end of the
Day
Knowing I have that
Gives me peace
Without it
I'm existing
I wanna live experiencing
Every part of it
This wonderful experience
Is worth
Every second
Every minute
Every hour
Every day of my life

Dance With A Stranger

Here I stand in this empty room

With four walls and a mirror

My pain is evident in my reflection

So much that I want so badly to hide

Inside myself

To soothe my pain, I play music

The song that plays has the message

Of a love betrayal, which happens to be

The cause of my pain.

My body sways and moves in a way

I never thought it could

The last step landed me on my knees,

Swaying my arms and the upper part 

Of me

Surprisingly the hand of a person I don't

Know, touched my hand

Pulled me up,

Helped me finish the dance I started

My body moved,

Legs and arms flexed,

It was almost like sex.

My partner twirled and dipped me,

Emotionally strong couldn't afford

To fall weak.

I wasn't familiar with dirty dancing and

I'm confident that's what was happening

The anger that steamed from my heart and soul

Have to be released in this dance

Toward the finale

We danced closely

The song ended

I walked away,

From my unnamed partner,

Those four walls,

And the mirror.

Love In The Distance

Day and night
I think and dream
Of him.
His voice whispers
Love sonnets
That hug and kiss
My soul.
My home is where he
Resides.
I lie awake sometimes
Gazing at the moon
And stars
To restart this movie
Of him and I.
Two lovebirds with
Kindred souls,
Loving,
Playing,
Laughing,
Like lovers do.
When the movie goes off
I'm left longing for him
From a distance I hear
Him calling me,
I see his face awaiting to
Kiss me.
His eyes expresses a
Mutual feeling.
What I wouldn't give
To touch him,
Look in his eyes.
All I have is his voice,
Pictures of him.
Physically, he's so far
From me.
Spiritually we're close.
I long for him until
We physically meet.

Masquerade

Who is who?
Who's with who?
Who knows who?
They wear a mask
Covering up their true
Identity and insecurity.
When they approach you
With a warm greeting
Is it genuine?
The compliments and
Terms of endearment
Are they genuine?
It's almost shocking how
Quickly those smiles fade
Away,
How the compliments can
Turn into a dis.
I use to wish to dance along
With these unique beings,
Instead I embrace my
Individuality and party
In my own world.
Every mask has a different
Shade,
Different mood covered
By the mask they wear.
Their true identity can't
Always be hidden,
It will be found.
Shakespeare said "to thine
Own self be true."
Unmask yourself and
Embrace the real you.

Make Up To Break Up

We battled each other in the storm
Flames almost an explosion
So close to being enemies
Love calmed the storm
Put out the battle flames
Flared up the flames of love
Passion rekindled with a kiss
Swords and shields instantly
Dropped to the concrete
That was our battlefield
Fighting each other
Instead of the forces trying to
Tear us apart
Love made us make up
When we were close to
Breaking up
I love you
You love me
Why didn't we think about that
When the battle started?
We know now
Nobody said this would be easy
Companions to best friends
Back to being companions
Moving toward the next step
Love is here to stay and
Keep us together

We were so close
Love sat still
Went from hot to lukewarm
Slowly cooling
Another has taken the attention
You gave to me
Before I could put any blame
On you
I asked myself the questions
Of importance
Realized I worked overtime
There is blame on your side
Once again I play the fool
Your smile,
Love,
Stolen
My heart broken
My spirit filled with fury
I'm ready to set it off on you and her
Got to stay a lady
Feeling three things
Anger, disappointed, hurt
I trusted you to take care of my heart
What does she have and what did she
Do to make you abandon me?
I hope you're happy
My door was open to you
Once it's close it stays closed

Distant Lover

I stood before him
Singing a love song
With all  my heart and soul
His eyes were open
But his ears were closed
Physically present
Spiritually elsewhere
But where?
As I continue my melody
I search his eyes
Trying to find him
Hoping one day he'll find
His way back to me
Before its too late
My heart bleeds
From his wondering spirit
My mind seeks the truth
Where is his love song for me?
It has only been sung once
He made a single
I made a whole album
And started on a second album
I stood before him
Singing a love song
With all my heart and soul
As my heart pleads for him
To come home before its too late

I love him
When he cries
Fights to control his temper
Out of the frustration he's
Feeling
I love him
As he jokes about our age
Difference
Then compliments the beauty
That he admires in me

From the top of his head to
The bottom of his feet
With every thing that he is

His brown eyes,
Kissable lips,
Mesmerizing smile,
Chocolate skin
Oh, I love him
Cause he loves and respects me
No matter what bouts we have
My life changed for the better
When he made his entrance
I fell in love with his heart, mind,
And soul

Those succulent kisses
Rained on me in a dream
Coated my skin with love
And intimacy
We engaged in a passionate
Ecstasy
Mentally stimulated
Prepared the rest of me
For physical seduction
A part of me doesn't want to
Give in while the other part has
The private part of me
Is famished
My lips continue to indulge
In those tasty kisses
I've surrendered
Awaited the act of seduction
Those chocolate lips
Oh how I have longed to feel
And taste them

I don't know
If he still wants
Forever with me
I get whip lash from
His mood swings
I do know he loves me
He's still here after I

He needs me like

For us to part forever
Will be the eternal damage
To our hearts
What does our future hold?

The present is more relevant
But when he wanted to walk

Every fiber of my being
Was wounded
They say if you love someone

Feeling the morning breeze
In Australia
When I awaken to my love
Feasting on each other as
Breakfast in the beautiful
Hawaiian water
Holding each other close
As we rule as royalty
On the pyramids in Egypt
Dining and romancing in
Rome as we rekindle our love
On a boat ride                                                   

Dance the salsa in Spain
Standing together hand in hand
As we watch the beautiful sunset
In the Sahara Desert
A romantic proposal from you in
The Eiffel Tower
I happily accept as we
Look at city light of Paris
Come back to St Louis where
We profess our love for each other
In front of dear friends and family

His presence,
Voice,
Masculine pheromones
Is hypnotizing
His lovemaking is poetry
Many admirers he has
But his focus is on me
Sensitive are his eyes
He understands love

And his kiss is as delectable
As a hot fudge sundae
No he's not just any man
